Halloween!

This year was alot of fun on halloween! Abigail was big enough to walk... and she had a blast! Once we started she did not want to stop. We went trick or treating with my sister Angela, her fiance Randy and my nephew Anthony! We would go up to a door, one of the parents would yell trick or treat and Abigail would say "BYE"... it was really funny! Because the kids were so cute they got double the candy from basically every house! haha! All the better for Randy and JR! When we got home we put Abi into her PJs and she was still carrying around her trick or treat bag wanting to go again!

This is a picture of Abigail running to the next house, she was so excited!
My cute little lady bug! HAHA my mom's butt some how ended up in the picture too! HAHA
This is the handsome one armed gorilla Anthony! he is one armed cause he cracked his elbow in his crib( of all places!).

And this is Anthony's gorilla bum!

New Hair!

Okay so I have been a bad girl! I let my hair go for far too long... had terrible roots! So I finally made an appointment with my good friend Elyse(awesome hairdresser!) in Fort Macleod. This is the end result :)
Its the same length I have been cutting it to lately so I can't wear a ponytail all the time :) But instead of just blonde highlights we threw some red in too!
I like it! JR not so much but what ever it is my hair and I have to take care of it! lol

Pumpkins and Pigs :)

On Saturday we went to Green Haven Garden Centre for their annual Pumpkin Festival. They have astro jumps, games and prizes for the kids, music, good food, petting zoo and wagon rides. They also have a silent auction and pumpkin weight contest. This is a fundraiser for Childrens Wish Foundation!! It was lots of fun! Even though it was kind of cold and Abi was a bit sick.

Here Abigail is standing in front of a 230 LBS pumpkin!
Anthony and Abigail looking cute as always!
Feeding the pot belly pig.... he really liked us kept following us around... maybe because we had food for it :) lol
JR took this picture.... it is Hilarious!! Why so serious! lol
Face painting is fun! Abigail go a butterfly on her cheek and....
Anthony got a nose and whiskers... Grrr! lol they are so cute!

Meet Schmee!! He is my salamander! I went to work for my father-in-law for the day last monday.... and my job was to help clean up the shingles that were left behind by the men that roofed the house. Lazy men... geez!! Anyways when Sandra(the other women they sent) and I were picked up the tarp the shingles were laying on there was Schmee laying there! I picked him up to show Sandra's girls that were doing homework in the van and when I went to put him back down these dogs came out of the field and tried to eat him! I was not going to let him be eaten so I brought him home! So now he has a nice little aquarium with a hut and water dish and all the crickets he can eat! LOL!!

Another excited thing that has happened is I got my first church calling! woot woot! I am the Website Administrator.....which means I am in charge of keeping the ward website up to date. When Bishop asked me I laughed cause I have no clue about running a website but I thought the least I could do is try. So I am trying it out and finding that it is really quite easy to do less a few questions I have but for the most part it is okay!

O and Abigail cut her last I tooth so we should be done with teething for abit... at least till she starts her two year molars. And I am trying to be handy and creative.... Abigail sleeps in a toddler bed but she still rolls out( which is okay cause it is really low to the ground). Sometime she wakes up in the middle of the night cause she rolled out, and none of the bed rails will fit cause the bed what handmade by my grandpa Nelson. So I have decided that I am going to make my own bed rail for it! We shall see how it turns out.

Well thats it for now :)

Me pretending to be creative :)

So one day I was over at my Grandma Nelson's house watching TV with her. We saw this commercial for this cake decorating kit and the 100 pieces that comes with it... I made an off handed comment that it was cool. A couple weeks later I went to visit Grandma Nelson again and she proudly handed me a box... in it was the cake decorating kit for the commercial! Then she proceded to tell me "There! now you can make me a really nice birthday cake!". So now I have to practice cause I have never decorated a fancy cake before!

So here is my first attempt! I will keep adding as I keep trying :) Enjoy :P

Dinner with the Poytress Family!

Okay so when JR and I first moved back to Lethbridge we moved into the basement suite where the Poytresses lived. JR and I both grew up in Fort Macleod where Aaron is from too. When I met Lacey we were both really pregnant. I knew right away that we would be great neighbours and friends! AJ was born April 6th, 2007(right Lacey?) and Abigail was supposed to be born April 21, 2007, but she decided not to grace us with her presence till May 2! Anyways…. It took Lacey and I 6 months to figure out we were married on the same day... Feb 4, 2006! I had so much fun living there and was sad to move because I wouldn’t be able to run upstairs to visit Lacey when ever I wanted. L Time flew by and now Aaron, Lacey and AJ are moving to Portland for 4 years, so that Aaron can go to school! I am sad they are moving but really happy for them to find new experiences and for Aaron pursuing is career choice! Have fun you 3 and see you at Christmas!!

So to send them off in style we had them over for a yummy dinner of Tater Tot Cassarole, Garlic Bread, Lemon Flapper Pie and Watermelon! yum!! Here are some cute pics of AJ and Abigail!

Happy now :)

Okay so it has been forever! But... I have been stupidly busy this summer. Here are all the fun stuff we did in August!

One day we all decide to go to Park Lake. It was REALLY cold but we still had fun. We spent most of the time playing in the sand. Abigail thought it was great fun!

All of us in the water... Except JR.... Chicken!! lol kidding
JR burried Randy, then I burried JR... What big kids!

Abi and I got to go to Rocky Mountain House to visit Great Auntie Grace. We when will Uncle Eddy, Grandma Nelson and my mom. ( in Uncle Eddy's new car!) We had such a great visit! It was just a quick trip. Left Saturday morning and came back Sunday evening.

We are swimming at the pool in our hotel.
Abigail trying to play crockette.Abigail is telling Great Great Auntie Grace something important... apparently. :)

Abigail and I got to go to Meadow Lake Saskachewan with JR's Mom. We went up to Visit Auntie Ellen, Will, Michelle and Grandma O. We got to stay for 5 days. While we were up there we went to an 25th anniversary party and a 90th birthday party. It was tons of fun!
This is Abi watching DVD in Grandma Ronald's van.
This is Abi jumping on the trampoline at Auntie Ellen's house.... Will was so nice and kept taking her out there. :)

Camping 2008!

We got to go camping for the weekend at Lake McGregor out by Milo, Alberta. We have friends that live near there and own a lot by the lake. It was so nice! This is a picture of me and Abigail standing on the beach and JR in the background kyaking. I love this picture!!! We got out there Saturday morning and just lazed around. Sunday it rained off and on so we watched acouple of movies in their cabin and managed to find time to go for a quick swim when there was a break in the clouds. Monday though was the best day by far because it was beautiful out! We spent practically all day on or by the lake! I tried to tan my legs that won't tan, and ended up coming home with burnt knees! Serves me right I guess! lol
This is my sweet Abigail and her little friend Allyson. They did an okay job of sharing Allyson's favorite toy car. Allyson's grandparents are the ones that own the lot. Allyson was born June 10, 2007 so she is not much younger than Abigail, and they had such a great time together!

The water was really cold when we went swimming off the boat so i didn't want to take Abigail in the water. But she thought differently and made such a fuss until we put her swim suit and life jacket on. She practically jumped out of JR's arms to me! It was so cute! So apparently I am a chicken or something cause Abi hardly seemed to care how cold the water was her lip didn't even shake until it was time to get back in the boat!
We had such an awesome time! We even found sometime to go tubing too. It was JR's first time so I was really excited to get to go with him! I tell you though I sure hurt afterward!

Cade and Kathy's Wedding!

This is what we call the Abi Finder! lol she wouldn't sit still so we tied a helium baloon to her and she wandered everywhere! So funny and cute! She thought it was funny too :)
So it has been forever since i posted so time to catch up! Wednesday July 23, 2008 Cade and Kathy were married in the Edmonton Temple for time and all eternity! yay! They had the reception on Saturday July 26, 2008. We went up on the Friday for the reception. It was awesome! We went for pictures with them at the Edmonton Temple before the reception. The reception was great. All the Ronald brothers were to give the toast to the groom, and the best part was Garth and Ian's magic tricks and Garth's advice to Kathy. Over all a good weekend besides getting lost alot in Edmonton. I tell ya that place is crazy, roads just lead to dead ends all over the place. lol oh well it was well worth it! Now i am not the only sister in-law! Woot Woot!

Long Long Week!!

So it has been forever since I wrote! This week has been the craziest I have had in a very long time! I have started working for JR's dad in Fort Macleod, and I bring Abi with me. Monday we worked and tried to keep Abi happy and out of trouble. Tuesday same thing. Wednesday we were off but Abi and I had to drive all over the country side doing errands! Thursday and Friday we worked. In between all this madness I fit mowing my grandma's lawn, going to aqua fit with mom, laundry, vacuuming and all other normal house chores. I tell you I have never been so excited for a saturday to come in forever!!! This crazy week was all thanks to my wonderful brother in-law Ian, who just turned 21 and decided to go with some friends to Las Vegas for the week. Leaving me all by myself at the shop, having no clue what to do! lol. But I made it through! I have now decided that I can only handle working in Fort Macleod two days a week, so I can have time to do my other tasks and most importantly have more time to hang out with Abi! Anyway that was my week! Later!!

Orrin and Jenn's Wedding!

So it has been really crazy busy, but it was well worth it! We left Thursday morning to go to Calgary to start the wedding festivities. While we were there got to stay at Ora's house. Thursday was the prep day... We got unpacked and settled in, we also picked up the last minute things we would need for the wedding weekend. Friday the men had a 9am Tee time at Lynx Ridge Golf Course where the wedding was also going to be the next day. So the women relaxed all morning, and did alittle shopping. Kathy and I took Abigail and Courtney for a walk that morning. Then at 4pm some of us when to set up at the hall where the rehersal dinner was going to be held that night. The rehersal was at 5pm, I got to tag along because I had to make sure Abigail would walk down the Isle since she was the little flower girl. Once that was over we headed over the the Tuscany club where the rehersal dinner was. We had pizza and cake, it was delicious! That night Orrin and his grooms men(Levi, JR and Ian)stayed in a hotel. I got to hang out for a little while and play some cards with them. The next day the wedding was to start at 2pm, so Abigail and I had to be there at 12:30pm to get her ready. The men also had to be there at 12:30pm cause they still had a list of things to do. It was a beautiful wedding! Abigail walked down the Isle like she was supposed to. When she got to the front she threw down her flowers and ran to Auntie Ora. It was adorable... one of my most proud moments! Jenn was beautiful and Orrin sure looked sharp in his suit... what a great couple! Now there is another girl in the Ronald family offically!!!! You have know Idea how happy that makes me! So anyways... The reception was fun. The dinner was delicious! Lots of dancing, Abigail did not want to stop! It was great to see family and friends hanging out and having a great time together. It was an all round great wedding and weekend! Congrats to Orrin and Jenn who are on a sunny beach in St. Lucia! Oh and if I ever figure this thing out there will be more pictures!

An Awesome Performance!

Last night I got the privilege to attend the clogging performance in Fort Macleod. It was awesome!!! Rebecca and Niki were the best part.... since I know them. lol. It was called Dancing through the Decades. They started in the 1940's with square dancing, then on to the 50's and 60's with swing and such. My favorite part was when they danced to Micheal Jackson's Thriller... Rebecca came out of a coffin and everyone look really scary dressed as zombies! They did an awesome job!!! My second favorite was Sunglasses at night.... They where dressed in all black except their gloves and shoes where white and they had glow in the dark glasses on, it was completely black and they had a black light on so the white and glasses stood out! It looked amazing!!! I am really glad that I was able to go, it was a great experience and I definately want to go to another performance!

A Big Accomplishment!

Today I was recruited to help JR roof a house! I am proud to say that I made it!!! It was very exhausting! But it was also fun to get to spend the day with JR and see what he does. I also have new found respect and understanding for him, it really is intense! JR was so patient with me too. Having to show me what to do, from stripping the roof a certain way to how the shingles are put on properly. We started at 8:30am and had stripped, swept, and papered one side of the roof by noon. To top it off it started to rain once we had the shingles stripped. So we had to hurry to get the roof papered so it would be water proofed. Talk about motivation! I was about done after we finished stripping the shingles, but had to keep going thanks to the rain! After the roof was water proofed we took a long lunch ( which was well deserved). Then we started to shingle, which took us four hours to do. JR says that is good when only one person is nailing and the other is passing shingles! Over all this was a very productive day and a great learning experience for me. The only really tough part about the whole day is that it was the first time I had been away from my sweet Abigail ALL DAY LONG! I didn't even get time to see her on lunch because she was sleeping! Tomorrow is another day and I have to help JR again, but thank fully another person is coming so it won't just be the two of us doing everything again. My dear Abigail gets to spend another day with her great grandma Nelson ( who loves having Abi so much!). Better get to bed and get rest for another long work day!

A Day of Shopping!

I waited paitently for today for about 2 week! I got to go shopping with my Meghan!!! It was so much fun! Meghan, Abi and I went to every single dress shop in the Park Place mall and then on to the Lethbridge Centre mall. We were shopping for summer clothes for Meghan and A fancy dress for me to wear to Orrin and Jenn's wedding in 2 weeks. Meghan had lots of success, but I was starting to get frustrated. See I had a particular style in mind for a dress and everything out there was not fitting the description! But finally in the last store we stopped in before calling it quits, we found the PERFECT dress! I am so stinking excited for their wedding now so I can show off my new dress. Now the reason finding a dress for me is such a big deal is because I am not a dress person. I am much happier wearing pants, they are much more comfortable and you don't have to be so carefull when you are wearing pants! I had to find a nice dress because my husband is in the wedding line up and going to be all decked out in a handsome suit, so I have to look just as good.... if not better than he does(lol). So I had an awesome day with and awesome friend and my darling Abigail shopping till we drop!

A trip to the park

Today JR and I took Abigail to the park, and we brought along Anthony too! Abigail is just learning how to go down the slide all by herself. She starting to understand that you have to walk around and go up the stair to go down the slide again, not turn around and climb up the slide! It is quite the spectacle to watch! Now Anthony on the other hand wants nothing to do with the slide. Anthony rather swing! He just sits and giggles the whole time! Abigail does not think that the swings are a fun idea! She complains the whole time she is in it. Well that is the excitement for my day!

Our Sweet Abigail!

It is hard to believe that she is already a year old! She is such a brilliant little girl! I am so fortunate to get to spend everyday with this wonderful girl. She is rarely grumpy and always has tons of slimy kisses for me and JR. She has been walking since she was 10 months old. She is such a chatter box like I was when I was small. She wanders around the house chanting Abi or hi. she loves to pretend to feed her baby that her auntie Ora bought her for her birthday. She also loves to read books. When she decides it is time to read a book, she will grab it off the shelf, bring it to you and if you don't take it right away she will turn around and back up onto your knee until you read her the book. She is at the stage where she will take the same book to JR or myself and have us read it over and over. It really is quite entertaining! Abigail has such a wonderful personality and she loves everybody. Though she pretends to play shy just because she can! Abi Loves her cousin Anthony. She is always trying to hug and kiss him or hold his hand when they are in the car together. She also likes to help feed him when they are sitting in their high chairs. Abigail amazes me everyday with the things she does! Either it is leaning to sign please and more, or randomly dancing around the livingroom to her backyardigans dvd.... We are so bless to have such a wonderful child! Okay I am done gushing now! lol

Love and Laughter

JR and I grew up in Fort Macleod, Alberta. We lived across the street from each other for years and never knew each other! We finally met working at A&W in Fort Macleod, and he thought I was a stalker cause I knew where he lived and he had no clue where I lived. We started dating in the fall of 2002. After we had been together for for 3 year and JR asked me to marry him... then he moved to Calgary! So of course I had no choice but to follow him. We got married February 4, 2006 in Fort Macleod. We were still living in Calgary when in August 2006 we found out we were going to have a baby! So we decided to move closer to home. We moved to Lethbridge March 2007, so that we would have time to get settled before the baby came. My due date what April 21, 2007, but little miss Abigail did not agree with this! Abigail Mae Ronald was born May 2nd, 2007 at 1:10am and weight 8 pounds and 9 ounces! To add to the excitement my sister Angela had a little boy named Anthony Johan Trowbridge on May 21, 2007. We have enjoyed many long nights, busy days and wonderful memories already! January 2008 we bought a house with my mom. It is a beautiful house! My sweet Abigail celebrated her first birthay at the beginning of the month! It is crazy to believe she is already a year old! She is a walking, chattering , very busy little girl and I would not have it any other way! I am so blessed and thankful that I am able to stay at home with her! Well That is my life in a nut shell!
