Long Long Week!!

So it has been forever since I wrote! This week has been the craziest I have had in a very long time! I have started working for JR's dad in Fort Macleod, and I bring Abi with me. Monday we worked and tried to keep Abi happy and out of trouble. Tuesday same thing. Wednesday we were off but Abi and I had to drive all over the country side doing errands! Thursday and Friday we worked. In between all this madness I fit mowing my grandma's lawn, going to aqua fit with mom, laundry, vacuuming and all other normal house chores. I tell you I have never been so excited for a saturday to come in forever!!! This crazy week was all thanks to my wonderful brother in-law Ian, who just turned 21 and decided to go with some friends to Las Vegas for the week. Leaving me all by myself at the shop, having no clue what to do! lol. But I made it through! I have now decided that I can only handle working in Fort Macleod two days a week, so I can have time to do my other tasks and most importantly have more time to hang out with Abi! Anyway that was my week! Later!!

Orrin and Jenn's Wedding!

So it has been really crazy busy, but it was well worth it! We left Thursday morning to go to Calgary to start the wedding festivities. While we were there got to stay at Ora's house. Thursday was the prep day... We got unpacked and settled in, we also picked up the last minute things we would need for the wedding weekend. Friday the men had a 9am Tee time at Lynx Ridge Golf Course where the wedding was also going to be the next day. So the women relaxed all morning, and did alittle shopping. Kathy and I took Abigail and Courtney for a walk that morning. Then at 4pm some of us when to set up at the hall where the rehersal dinner was going to be held that night. The rehersal was at 5pm, I got to tag along because I had to make sure Abigail would walk down the Isle since she was the little flower girl. Once that was over we headed over the the Tuscany club where the rehersal dinner was. We had pizza and cake, it was delicious! That night Orrin and his grooms men(Levi, JR and Ian)stayed in a hotel. I got to hang out for a little while and play some cards with them. The next day the wedding was to start at 2pm, so Abigail and I had to be there at 12:30pm to get her ready. The men also had to be there at 12:30pm cause they still had a list of things to do. It was a beautiful wedding! Abigail walked down the Isle like she was supposed to. When she got to the front she threw down her flowers and ran to Auntie Ora. It was adorable... one of my most proud moments! Jenn was beautiful and Orrin sure looked sharp in his suit... what a great couple! Now there is another girl in the Ronald family offically!!!! You have know Idea how happy that makes me! So anyways... The reception was fun. The dinner was delicious! Lots of dancing, Abigail did not want to stop! It was great to see family and friends hanging out and having a great time together. It was an all round great wedding and weekend! Congrats to Orrin and Jenn who are on a sunny beach in St. Lucia! Oh and if I ever figure this thing out there will be more pictures!

An Awesome Performance!

Last night I got the privilege to attend the clogging performance in Fort Macleod. It was awesome!!! Rebecca and Niki were the best part.... since I know them. lol. It was called Dancing through the Decades. They started in the 1940's with square dancing, then on to the 50's and 60's with swing and such. My favorite part was when they danced to Micheal Jackson's Thriller... Rebecca came out of a coffin and everyone look really scary dressed as zombies! They did an awesome job!!! My second favorite was Sunglasses at night.... They where dressed in all black except their gloves and shoes where white and they had glow in the dark glasses on, it was completely black and they had a black light on so the white and glasses stood out! It looked amazing!!! I am really glad that I was able to go, it was a great experience and I definately want to go to another performance!

A Big Accomplishment!

Today I was recruited to help JR roof a house! I am proud to say that I made it!!! It was very exhausting! But it was also fun to get to spend the day with JR and see what he does. I also have new found respect and understanding for him, it really is intense! JR was so patient with me too. Having to show me what to do, from stripping the roof a certain way to how the shingles are put on properly. We started at 8:30am and had stripped, swept, and papered one side of the roof by noon. To top it off it started to rain once we had the shingles stripped. So we had to hurry to get the roof papered so it would be water proofed. Talk about motivation! I was about done after we finished stripping the shingles, but had to keep going thanks to the rain! After the roof was water proofed we took a long lunch ( which was well deserved). Then we started to shingle, which took us four hours to do. JR says that is good when only one person is nailing and the other is passing shingles! Over all this was a very productive day and a great learning experience for me. The only really tough part about the whole day is that it was the first time I had been away from my sweet Abigail ALL DAY LONG! I didn't even get time to see her on lunch because she was sleeping! Tomorrow is another day and I have to help JR again, but thank fully another person is coming so it won't just be the two of us doing everything again. My dear Abigail gets to spend another day with her great grandma Nelson ( who loves having Abi so much!). Better get to bed and get rest for another long work day!
