Pumpkins and Pigs :)

On Saturday we went to Green Haven Garden Centre for their annual Pumpkin Festival. They have astro jumps, games and prizes for the kids, music, good food, petting zoo and wagon rides. They also have a silent auction and pumpkin weight contest. This is a fundraiser for Childrens Wish Foundation!! It was lots of fun! Even though it was kind of cold and Abi was a bit sick.

Here Abigail is standing in front of a 230 LBS pumpkin!

Meet Schmee!! He is my salamander! I went to work for my father-in-law for the day last monday.... and my job was to help clean up the shingles that were left behind by the men that roofed the house. Lazy men... geez!! Anyways when Sandra(the other women they sent) and I were picked up the tarp the shingles were laying on there was Schmee laying there! I picked him up to show Sandra's girls that were doing homework in the van and when I went to put him back down these dogs came out of the field and tried to eat him! I was not going to let him be eaten so I brought him home! So now he has a nice little aquarium with a hut and water dish and all the crickets he can eat! LOL!!

Another excited thing that has happened is I got my first church calling! woot woot! I am the Website Administrator.....which means I am in charge of keeping the ward website up to date. When Bishop asked me I laughed cause I have no clue about running a website but I thought the least I could do is try. So I am trying it out and finding that it is really quite easy to do less a few questions I have but for the most part it is okay!

O and Abigail cut her last I tooth so we should be done with teething for abit... at least till she starts her two year molars. And I am trying to be handy and creative.... Abigail sleeps in a toddler bed but she still rolls out( which is okay cause it is really low to the ground). Sometime she wakes up in the middle of the night cause she rolled out, and none of the bed rails will fit cause the bed what handmade by my grandpa Nelson. So I have decided that I am going to make my own bed rail for it! We shall see how it turns out.

Well thats it for now :)

Me pretending to be creative :)

So one day I was over at my Grandma Nelson's house watching TV with her. We saw this commercial for this cake decorating kit and the 100 pieces that comes with it... I made an off handed comment that it was cool. A couple weeks later I went to visit Grandma Nelson again and she proudly handed me a box... in it was the cake decorating kit for the commercial! Then she proceded to tell me "There! now you can make me a really nice birthday cake!". So now I have to practice cause I have never decorated a fancy cake before!

So here is my first attempt! I will keep adding as I keep trying :) Enjoy :P

Dinner with the Poytress Family!

Okay so when JR and I first moved back to Lethbridge we moved into the basement suite where the Poytresses lived. JR and I both grew up in Fort Macleod where Aaron is from too. When I met Lacey we were both really pregnant. I knew right away that we would be great neighbours and friends! AJ was born April 6th, 2007(right Lacey?) and Abigail was supposed to be born April 21, 2007, but she decided not to grace us with her presence till May 2! Anyways…. It took Lacey and I 6 months to figure out we were married on the same day... Feb 4, 2006! I had so much fun living there and was sad to move because I wouldn’t be able to run upstairs to visit Lacey when ever I wanted. L Time flew by and now Aaron, Lacey and AJ are moving to Portland for 4 years, so that Aaron can go to school! I am sad they are moving but really happy for them to find new experiences and for Aaron pursuing is career choice! Have fun you 3 and see you at Christmas!!

So to send them off in style we had them over for a yummy dinner of Tater Tot Cassarole, Garlic Bread, Lemon Flapper Pie and Watermelon! yum!! Here are some cute pics of AJ and Abigail!

Happy now :)

Okay so it has been forever! But... I have been stupidly busy this summer. Here are all the fun stuff we did in August!

One day we all decide to go to Park Lake. It was REALLY cold but we still had fun. We spent most of the time playing in the sand. Abigail thought it was great fun!

All of us in the water... Except JR.... Chicken!! lol kidding
JR burried Randy, then I burried JR... What big kids!

Abi and I got to go to Rocky Mountain House to visit Great Auntie Grace. We when will Uncle Eddy, Grandma Nelson and my mom. ( in Uncle Eddy's new car!) We had such a great visit! It was just a quick trip. Left Saturday morning and came back Sunday evening.

We are swimming at the pool in our hotel.
Abigail trying to play crockette.Abigail is telling Great Great Auntie Grace something important... apparently. :)

Abigail and I got to go to Meadow Lake Saskachewan with JR's Mom. We went up to Visit Auntie Ellen, Will, Michelle and Grandma O. We got to stay for 5 days. While we were up there we went to an 25th anniversary party and a 90th birthday party. It was tons of fun!
This is Abi watching DVD in Grandma Ronald's van.
This is Abi jumping on the trampoline at Auntie Ellen's house.... Will was so nice and kept taking her out there. :)

Camping 2008!

We got to go camping for the weekend at Lake McGregor out by Milo, Alberta. We have friends that live near there and own a lot by the lake. It was so nice! This is a picture of me and Abigail standing on the beach and JR in the background kyaking. I love this picture!!! We got out there Saturday morning and just lazed around. Sunday it rained off and on so we watched acouple of movies in their cabin and managed to find time to go for a quick swim when there was a break in the clouds. Monday though was the best day by far because it was beautiful out! We spent practically all day on or by the lake! I tried to tan my legs that won't tan, and ended up coming home with burnt knees! Serves me right I guess! lol
This is my sweet Abigail and her little friend Allyson. They did an okay job of sharing Allyson's favorite toy car. Allyson's grandparents are the ones that own the lot. Allyson was born June 10, 2007 so she is not much younger than Abigail, and they had such a great time together!

The water was really cold when we went swimming off the boat so i didn't want to take Abigail in the water. But she thought differently and made such a fuss until we put her swim suit and life jacket on. She practically jumped out of JR's arms to me! It was so cute! So apparently I am a chicken or something cause Abi hardly seemed to care how cold the water was her lip didn't even shake until it was time to get back in the boat!
We had such an awesome time! We even found sometime to go tubing too. It was JR's first time so I was really excited to get to go with him! I tell you though I sure hurt afterward!

Cade and Kathy's Wedding!

This is what we call the Abi Finder! lol she wouldn't sit still so we tied a helium baloon to her and she wandered everywhere! So funny and cute! She thought it was funny too :)
So it has been forever since i posted so time to catch up! Wednesday July 23, 2008 Cade and Kathy were married in the Edmonton Temple for time and all eternity! yay! They had the reception on Saturday July 26, 2008. We went up on the Friday for the reception. It was awesome! We went for pictures with them at the Edmonton Temple before the reception. The reception was great. All the Ronald brothers were to give the toast to the groom, and the best part was Garth and Ian's magic tricks and Garth's advice to Kathy. Over all a good weekend besides getting lost alot in Edmonton. I tell ya that place is crazy, roads just lead to dead ends all over the place. lol oh well it was well worth it! Now i am not the only sister in-law! Woot Woot!
